It’s no question that smoothies are delicious, but sometimes making them at home can seem intimidating because either you think you don’t have the right ingredients or you don’t know what ingredients you even need. But in reality, all youneed to make a yummy smoothie is a blender and your favorite fruits and vegetables that are probably already sitting in your fridge or on your counter.

1. Mixed Berry Smoothie

We call this smoothie “mixed berry” because it can be created with any and all kinds of berries. The best thing about this is that you can mix together whatever berries you have sitting around and it will still taste delicious. So, all you need to do is open up your fridge and see which ones you have sitting there on the shelf, waiting for you. If you like smoothies with a thicker consistency, then you can switch out one of the refrigerated berries for frozen ones. If you don’t have any frozen berries or don’t have time to make some, then just add ice as you blend the berries. Either option will provide you with a smoothie worth slurping.

2. Sunset Smoothie

Just like the Mixed Berry, the Sunset Smoothie can be made from the ingredients you enjoy that are already in your fridge rather than a specific recipe. The main goal is that it looks like a sunset or at least tastes like you should be drinking it on the beach while watching one. The base of your Sunset Smoothie can be made from a combination of any of these ingredients: pineapple, mango, nectarine, apricot, carrot, melon or orange. You could even choose just one of these fruits and still make a delicious tropical treat. As an additive bonus, you could add orange juice to zest it up or coconut water to infuse a more island flavor.

3. Green Machine Smoothie

This smoothie is a great way to use up the rest of the veggies in your fridge before they go bad and you have to throw them out. While a green smoothie takes a little bit more of an effort to make sure that it doesn’t taste too sour, it’s definitely worth it. The key to a tasty green smoothie is actually the addition of a fruit first. You can use an apple, mango, pineapple or banana as your base. After that, feel free to add whatever vegetables you’d like. Some great options are spinach, kale, cucumbers, and celery. Adding an avocado will make it very creamy. To top it off, you can also add matcha powder or lemon, but neither is necessary.

4. Go Bananas Smoothie

If you’re all about bananas, then you will go bananas for this smoothie. No surprise to anyone, this smoothie’s main ingredient is bananas. For maximum yumminess, we suggest using half frozen and half refrigerated bananas. If you’re looking for a more complex flavor, you can throw in some peanut butter, honey, or chia seeds.

With these four quick and easy smoothie recipes, you can make delicious smoothies right from the ingredients that are already in your kitchen and be the boss of that blender.
